Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens: 5 players to watch
With the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens ready to face off on Monday night, there are five players that you should keep an eye on.
If the Houston Texans want to keep their playoffs hopes alive, they’ll have to defeat a tough Baltimore Ravens team on Monday night.
Here are five players to keep an eye on:
Lamar Miller
With rookie running back D’Onta Foreman out for the remainder of the season, veteran running back Lamar Miller won’t need to worry about him cutting into his carries going forward.
I would expect veterans Alfred Blue and Andre Ellington to get a few carries, but Miller will get the bulk of the load on Monday night against a vulnerable Ravens’ run defense.
Joe Flacco
Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco hasn’t had a great season, but he could have some success against a Texans’ secondary that’s given up their fair share of big plays this season.
The key for the Texans will be to get pressure on Flacco with Jadeveon Clowney and force him to make mistakes.

Jeremy Maclin
There is no doubt that Jeremy Maclin isn’t the wide receiver that he once was. But he’s still capable of making big plays after scoring on a 48 yard pass play earlier in the season.
Terrell Suggs
Despite the fact that linebacker Terrell Suggs is in his 15th NFL season, the Ravens’ star defender has 7.5 sacks so far this season. Hopefully the Texans have a plan for slowing him down.
Houston would be wise to add an extra tight end where ever Suggs lines up in order to help out their offensive tackles.
Andre Hal/Marcus Gilchrist
With cornerback Johnathan Joseph struggling lately and Kevin Johnson having an up and down season, it’s vital for Texans’ safeties Andre Hal and Marcus Gilchrist to do their jobs and secure the backend of Houston’s defense.
