The Houston Texans will need running back Lamar Miller to have a big game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Houston Texans have to figure out how to get back on track this week against a very good Los Angeles Rams team.

Here are some players to watch during the game:

Todd Gurley

Rams’ starting running back Todd Gurley has bounced back in 2017 after a disapointing 2016 season.

Gurley has recorded 686 yards and seven rushing touchdowns with an average of 4.3 yards per carry during the first half of the season.

The Texans’ and their 9th ranked rushing defense will have their hands full with Gurley.

C.J. Fiedorowicz

It’s nice to have tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz back as a starter after missing the past nine weeks due to a concussion.

I expect the Texans to simplify things for quarterback Tom Savage. In turn he’ll be looking to dump the ball off quite often to Fiedorowicz.

Lamar Miller

The Rams have a very good defense, but their weakness is against the run. They’re ranked 26th in the NFL and give up over 121 yards per game.

If Texans’ starting running back Lamar Miller is going to carry Houston to a win, this would be the week.

Miller has 483 yards and two touchdowns with an average of 3.7 yards per carry. I know a lot fans want to see more of rookie D’Onta Foreman, but Miller’s issues have a lot to do with a weak offensive line.

Miller needs to prove himself this week.

Aaron Donald

The Texans’ offensive line will have a tough match-up with Rams’ defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

If Houston is going to contain Donald, they’ll need guys like Nick Martin, Greg Mancz and Jeff Allen to work together to double-team him.

Robert Woods

Rams’ wide receiver Robert Woods has always shown promise during his career, but after leaving the Buffalo Bills this past offseason, it looks like he’s really broken out in Los Angeles’ explosive offense.

Woods is on pace for over 800 yards receiving and four touchdowns this season.
