The Houston Texans continue to climb the ranks after a convincing win over the Tennessee Titans.

Despite losing to the New England Patriots in week three, the Houston Texans still moved up to the 17th spot on FanSided’s NFL power rankings last week.

Well after a blow out win over the Tennessee Titans this past week, the Texans have moved up to No. 13.

From Russell Baxter of FanSided:

"It’s amazing the transformation the Texans have made on offense in three weeks. Watson gives O’Brien’s attack an added dimension that this franchise hasn’t seen in its brief history. His ability to distribute the football and also remain focused under duress is awfully impressive. These division champs aren’t going anywhere."

I think 13th is a fair spot for the Texans right now. They have beaten up on some bad teams this season and should have taken down a weak Patriots’ defense in week three.

Dan Parzych of FanSided also posted his own NFL power rankings. He had the Texans at No. 22 last week and has them in the seventh spot heading into week five.

Here’s a portion of what Parzych wrote:

"All of a sudden, Houston seems to have finally found the quarterback they’ve desperately been looking for in Watson, and it will be interesting to see if he continues playing at this high level. Because if that does in fact happen, the Texans are going to be one difficult team to overcome in the AFC since the defense is in solid shape as well."

A jump from 22nd to 7th seems way too high right now.  Now if the Texans can knock off the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs this coming Sunday, then they’ll deserve to be in the top-10.

If the Texans can knock off the Chiefs in week five, you would really be able to make the argument that they’re possibly a top five NFL team.

If the Texans are going to have a chance at knocking off the Chiefs, they will need rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson to continue to play lights out.
