Texans’ keys to victory against Patriots
The Houston Texans have a tall task as they get ready to battle the New England Patriots.
The odds are not in favor of the Houston Texans as they prepare to face off against the New England Patriots up in Foxboro.
While nothing is impossible, there is a way for the Texans to pull off a huge upset.
I’ve come up with a few keys for the Texans to take down the Patriots.
Get after Tom Brady.
It’s been proven time and time again that if an opposing defense can get after Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady, New England can be beaten.
The good news for the Texans is that they have the talent with Jadeveon Clowney, Whitney Mercilus and J.J. Watt to make Brady’s day a miserable one.
Establish the run.
In order to take some pressure off of rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Texans’ offensive line, it would be great if running backs Lamar Miller and D’Onta Foreman could establish a ground game.
Now of course in order to run the ball well, Miller and Foreman will need their offensive line to open up some holes.
Shutdown Rob Gronkowski.
The Patriots have a lot of weapons on offense, but it all starts with tight end Rob Gronkowski. If Texans’ rookie linebacker Zach Cunningham can lock him down, it could make things a lot easier for their defense.
