Roster cuts are underway for the Houston Texans.

The Houston Texans as well as every other team in the NFL have to get their rosters cut down from 90 to 53 players by 3pm central time on Saturday.

The Texans, like many other teams have already started to trim down their roster.

Here’s what we have so far from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Despite being talented, linebacker Sio Moore will once again need to find a new home with the Texans cutting him. His biggest issue has been the inability to stay healthy.

Moore has been dealing with a hamstring injury all summer.

The Texans also ended up releasing linebacker Dayon Pratt from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with him. He’s been out with an ankle injury.

The Texans have also released another linebacker in Mike Catapano, who has played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets.

Houston has parted ways with tight end RaShaun Allen after giving him an injury settlement.

The Texans have cut undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman Erik Austell. He played his college ball at UCLA.

Undrafted rookie free agent safety Malik Smith has also been let go by Houston.

The Texans have released wide receiver Marcus Leak as well.
