John McClain: Wes Welker will have greatest impact on Braxton Miller
Wes Welker could take Braxton Miller’s game to the next level.
If the Houston Texans are going to take their offense to the next level in 2017, they will need second-year wide receiver Braxton Miller to step up in a big way.
During a Q&A this week, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle was asked which player new assistant coach Wes Welker will have the greatest impact on.
McClain answered by saying that Welker will have the biggest impact on Miller.
"“It’s got to be Braxton Miller,” said McClain.”“He’s the greatest slot receiver in history. If you don’t believe me, you could look it up.“And so he’s going to have an impact on Miller.”"
McClain went on to say that Miller was lost mentally as a rookie after only hauling 15 receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown.

McClain believes Miller is a smart player that will be greatly impact by Welker’s presence.
I’ve been saying all offseason what McClain is echoing.
Miller is very talented and to be able to learn from Welker–who was an amazing slot receiver that gave opposing defenses fits during his career–is priceless for his development.
