Houston Texans’ star Jadeveon Clowney cracks the NFL Network’s top-100 list for the first time in his career.

This might be the slowest time of the year when it comes to the NFL, but at least we have something interesting to watch as the NFL Network runs down their list of the top-100 players of 2017.

The voting for this list is entirely done by players from around the NFL and no one else.

Up until tonight, the Houston Texans didn’t have anyone on the list.  Well we have some good news.

Texans’ pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney has been voted the 49th best player in the NFL by his peers.

Clowney made it clear on Twitter that he’s not satisfied with being 49th.

It’s great to see Clowney finally live up the hype that followed him when he came out of the University of South Carolina a few years ago.

It certainly hasn’t been Clowney’s fault, he’s had to overcome some adversity early in his career because of some unfortunate injuries.

More from Toro Times

Clowney recorded 52 tackles, one forced fumble and six sacks last season. He was a huge reason the Texans didn’t miss J.J. Watt.

As long as Clowney stays healthy going forward, he will continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
