Ex-Texans DB Alan Ball appearing on “Survivor”

Alan Ball is going from the football field to the set of “Survivor.”

Former Houston Texans defensive back Alan Ball will be appearing on the highly popular reality-TV show “Survivor,” according to Inside Survivor.

The official title of the show Ball will be on is  “Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.” It will air on CBS this coming fall.

Here are some details from Inside Survivor:

"As previously revealed on Inside Survivor, the upcoming cycle of seasons (35/36) will once again be located in Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands. Season 35 – Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers – recently wrapped up filming and will air this fall on CBS. The new season features 18 brand new castaways who will be divided into three tribes to start the game."

Ball is the second NFL player to participate in “Survivor.”

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Brad Culpepper was a runner-up on “Survivor: Game Changers.”

The 32 year-old Ball is currently a free agent.  He started his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2007 after being taken in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of the University of Illinois.

Ball played 11 games for the Houston Texans in 2012 and then played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013-2014, the Chicago Bears in 2015 and the Arizona Cardinals in 2016.
