New Houston Texans running back D’Onta Foreman is thankful for Ricky Williams and Charlie Strong.

There’ no doubt that former University of Texas running back D’Onta Foreman had to be relieved when the Houston Texans drafted him this past weekend since Houston isn’t far from his hometown of Texas City, TX.

Foreman praised fellow Longhorn and former NFL running back Ricky Williams because of how much he’s helped him get to where he is today.

From State of the Texans:

"“I love Ricky so much, man. He’s been so great to me,” Foreman explained of his feeling for Williams. “Great mentor, great leader to me. He’s somebody that I can call and talk to any time and he gives me great advice. For him to say those words, it’s a blessing and I thank him.”"

Williams congratulated Foreman on Twitter.

It doesn’t hurt to have someone like Williams help you.

Williams is arguably the greatest college running back ever.

Foreman also gave credit to his former college coach Charlie Strong.

"“He just called me and congratulated me and said he was happy for me,” Foreman stated. “I told him that I appreciate everything he’s done for me and even my brother and that I can’t thank him enough. I wish him well at his new school.”"

Even though things didn’t work out for Strong at Texas, he did a heck of a job developing Foreman and helping him get drafted by the Texans.

Now Foreman has the take advantage of the opportunity he has and work hard in order to keep getting better.d’onta
