The Houston Texans are meeting with two of the top quarterback prospects in DeShaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes.

The 2017 NFL draft is only 10 days from kicking off.

With every NFL team finalizing their draft boards, they’re also continuing to meet with some of the top prospects.

With the Texans expected to take a quarterback somewhere in the draft, they’ve setup a meeting with Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes this week.

Mahomes started his visit with the Texans on Sunday night and it will run into Monday, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

There’s no doubt that Mahomes has the best arm in this year’s class.

Mahomes has been the most popular choice for the Texans when it comes to mock drafts this offseason.

The only problem is that Mahomes’ stock has been soaring and he may not be available when Houston is on the clock with the 25th overall pick.

Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson will be visiting with the Texans on Monday and Tuesday of this week, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Watson is definitely one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class after impressing scouts by taking Clemson to two straight National Championship games and winning the big game during his second trip in 2016.

There are some concerns over Watson’s accuracy, but some will argue he’s the best signal-caller in this year’s draft.

Like Mahomes, there’s a good chance Watson will not be on the board when the Texans are picking.

If Houston want either Mahomes or Watson they may have to trade up to ensure they’re able to get the guy they want.
