Free agency is days from kicking off and we have plenty of Houston Texans News for you.

While no one loves the NFL offseason since there aren’t any games, it’s still one of the most exciting times of the year for teams as well as fans.

It’s crazy how many news and rumors have been surrounding the Houston Texans since the 2016 season ended.

Whether it’s  where Tony Romo might end up, to whether the Patriots will actually trade Jimmy Garoppolo, there’s never a dull moment.

One thing to watch out for as the weekend approaches is which quarterbacks will impress NFL teams during the scouting combine.

While I’m not a big believer in Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes, I’m interested in seeing how he performs.

I’ve compiled some of the best latest articles from around the web that have to do with your Texans.

2017 NFL Free Agency: Predicting Houston Texans 5 Biggest Moves [NFL SpinZone – Randy Gurzi]

"Will the Houston Texans be the talk of 2017 NFL free agency? It’s a fair question since they have been the talk of the offseason for two-straight years. In advance of the 2015 season, they were featured on the HBO series Hard Knocks. The camera followed them around as people saw quarterback Ryan Mallett quickly assert himself in head coach Bill O’Brien’s doghouse."

2016 Houston Texans Season Review: A Look Inside The Numbers* [ Battle Red Blog – Matt Weston]

"The probability of external factors derailing games diminishes if you win by more points. If you have a higher point differential, you are less likely to play close games and have wonky things happen against you. Good teams win by a lot of points, while bad teams just get by."

Houston Texans: 5 Non-Tony Romo Quarteback Options to Consider – [NFL Spin Zone – Luke Sims]

"While the news that Tony Romo has an interest in coming to the Houston Texans was like a breath of fresh air for the team, the Texans cannot put all of their eggs in one basket. There are a multitude of other quarterbacks available in free agency (or that will likely be free agents) that could put the Texans in a position to win immediately."

Every NFL team’s five-year draft record, ranked [FOX Sports – Brett Smiley]

"With free agency looming (March 9) and the NFL Draft not too far off (April 27), we recently set out to determine which teams have profited most from the past five drafts (2012-16). We also sought to control somewhat for the fact that some teams have accumulated a lot of late-round draft picks via trades or compensation for lost free agents and so forth."

The Draft’s Rorschach Test: What Will Each Team See in Patrick Mahomes? [The MMQB – Emily Kaplan]

"First it was the video from spring ball: Patrick Mahomes coolly executing a no-look pass. “Doing his best Aaron Rodgers impersonation,” Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury posted on Twitter. A few weeks later, another video surfaced: Mahomes, both knees on the turf, launching a perfect spiral 65 yards. It felt as if everyone around Mahomes was trying to sell the skeptics on his talent."
