Cornerback: Johnathan JosephKareem Jackson

Kevin Johnson was the first round pick by Houston in 2015 and really could be on this list as well because he pretty much plays starters snaps as the third corner on the team. Yet technically the number one and two guys here are the veterans Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson.

Joseph is arguably the best free agent acquisition the Texans have ever gained. Despite his age he is still the best cover guy on the team and has recorded 12 interceptions during his five seasons in Houston.

Jackson was another first round pick of the Texans and has gained the reputation of a scrappy cover corner. His interception totals are slightly lower than Joseph’s in terms of average per year but he is savvy and isn’t afraid to come up and make a tackle.

The Texans really are looking rather good at the corner position not just now, but in the future as well thanks to the youthfulness of Johnson and Jackson.
