Houston Texans: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly – Offensive Line
By Bob Dove
The Ugly – Duane Brown playing on one leg or re-injured puts the offensive line position group on the edge of “The Ugly”. One more key injury pushes them from underperformance to poor performance. Poor performance by the offensive line dooms the Texans 2016 season.
If the line collapses Brock Osweiler will perform poorly. There is only so much a quarterback, running back, or premier wide receiver can do to lift a team. The 2015 Indianapolis Colts are a perfect example of what can happen to a potentially explosive offense when the offensive line is consistently overwhelmed.
If Duane Brown remains healthy it is highly unlikely the 2016 Texans offensive line experiences The Ugly. There is adequate depth at guard and center that a season ending injury, even two, at those positions will not cause the offensive line to collapse. Expose Brock Osweiler’s blind side and all that changes.
What are the chances of “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” for the 2016 Texans offensive line?
