They actually had some good numbers against the pass last season, ranking ninth in completion percentage against and in the middle of the pack in yards per attempt. Their overall number of 24th in yards is deceiving of how well they played last season. They should be solid on the back end once again.

Vontae Davis is a very good corner, with free agent pickup Patrick Robinson on the other side. Robinson had a great year with the Chargers last season, earning him a three contract with the Colts this offseason. The former first round pick of the Saints never really made his mark in New Orleans but had his best year yet in San Diego, getting a nice contract as he enters his seventh NFL season.

Darius Butler is their third cornerback, but after that there are a bunch of young guys that fill out the depth chart, they can certainly not afford to lose any of their top three corners this season. At safety Mike Adams holds down the strong safety spot and Clayton Geathers is at free safety. Winston Guy, former Legion of Boom member is the third safety and second round pick TJ Green from Clemson is also in the mix.

Overall this unit has some good players but not a whole lot of depth. Unless a lot of young players step up, they will have a hard time reaching the top spot on the list.
