Sophomore breakout candidate, Kurtis Drummond
At one point Kurtis Drummond looked to be a solid pro prospect while he was at Michigan State, but he still wound up going undrafted.

Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 208 Pounds
Age: 24
Career tackles: 14
Career interceptions: 0
Despite not hearing his name called during draft weekend, Drummond ended up playing in nine games for the Texans and recorded 14 tackles and one forced fumble. 12 of Drummond’s tackles were solo tackles, which is a good sign since this was one of the issues scouts had with him that led to him being passed on in the draft.
It looks like the Texans may have found themselves a hidden gem with this safety, but he will probably need a little more seasoning before he can legitimately compete for a starting job. For now, look for Houston to try and use him as a special teamer while he works more with coaches.
2016 season prediction: 20 tackles
