Nose tackle – Vince Wilfork

You can’t miss Vince Wilfork when he’s on the field. The man is the size of a Volkswagon and impossible for linemen to move when he gets his feet dug in.

Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 325 Pounds
Age: 34
Career Tackles: 538
Career Sacks: 16

Unfortunately for the Texans though, the Wilfork they have now isn’t the same disruptive force he once was. During his time with the New England Patriots, Wilfork was one of the better defensive tackles in all of the NFL.

For Houston, he recorded just 22 tackles, six of which were solo. His impact on the game was minimal, but at this point in his career, that impact isn’t what’s most important, his knowledge is.

Originally it looked like Wilfork could mentor third-round pick Louis Nix III, but he never turned things around and is now gone. The team has replaced him with rookie D.J. Reader and the best thing Wilfork can do is mentor the young man who could potentially replace him.

Season prediction: 25 tackles, 1 sack
