As we quickly approach the start of training camp, we break down the Houston Texans roster by position, this time with the running backs

With the draft in the rearview mirror and mini-camps getting under way, the 2016 NFL season feels closer than ever. For fans of the Houston Texans, there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the start of this coming season.

To help us all get in the spirit, we will begin to break down the 2016 version of your Texans, and today the running back position gets it’s turn in the spotlight.

The running back position is one that Texans fans have taken for granted for years, and for the first time in years there is some uncertainty there. The reason for that uncertainty is because the franchise decided to part ways with their all-time rushing leader, Arian Foster this offseason.

In all fairness to Houston though, it was time. Foster has spent much of the last three seasons hurt and only appeared in four games in 2016, and looked like a shell of himself during those games. Texans fans everywhere wish Foster the best as he tries to continue his career, but sadly his production no longer matched his salary and the team headed in a different direction.

That different direction is where we get this thing started!
