Josh Criswell of FanSided rated the five worst draft picks in Houston Texans team history and named QB David Carr the worst selection ever

Our friends over at FanSided have been doing a look back at each NFL team’s draft history and they’ve rated the five worst selections. On Saturday Josh Criswell went over his choice for the five worst picks in Texan’s history and he named quarterback David Carr as the worst selection ever.

Criswell points out that Carr’s issues in Houston weren’t all his fault as he believes the team waited too long for him to develop:

"What made Carr’s selection so bad for the Texans was how long they held on to hopes of him becoming their franchise quarterback. In five years in Houston, he posted a 22-53 record with 59 touchdowns and 65 interceptions."

He also points out that the pick itself wasn’t a bad decision by the team, it just simply didn’t work out. The fact is Carr may have been better if he went to a different team, but he was sacked at an alarming rate and became gunshy from that point on in his career.
