The Miami Dolphins have a visit scheduled with the Houston Texans franchise rushing leader Arian Foster on Tuesday
The Houston Texans released their franchise rushing leader, Arian Foster, this offseason and replaced him with free agent Lamar Miller formerly of the Miami Dolphins. Bringing Miller to Houston may have actually helped Foster find a new home.
After striking out on Denver Broncos restricted free agent C.J. Anderson, the Dolphins now reportedly are going to give Foster a look. The former Texan has a scheduled visit on Tuesday with the South Beach franchise.
While Foster should be ready to go by the start of the season, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network says don’t look for a signing tomorrow as Foster still has some work to do to get up to full-speed after suffering a season ending Achilles tear in October.
In Miami Foster would most likely battle with running back Jay Ajayi, who ran for 187 yards on 49 carries with one touchdown in 2015 as a rookie. The former Boise State product has battled knee issues, which caused his draft stock to plummet and kept him off the field for a big portion of his rookie year.

Foster has rushed for 6,472 yards and 54 touchdowns in his career. Unfortunately though his past couple of seasons have been marred by injuries, the most recent of which was a torn Achilles suffered in Miami against the Dolphins.
