Okay, this might not have been the most entertaining game in franchise history but it was an important one this season because it was the starting point of a huge run by the Texans and a turnaround for the defense. They knocked off the undefeated Bengals with no one else but Yates at quarterback. The Texans had come off a bye and defeated the Titans before the week off, but nobody expected Houston to go into Cincinnati and knock off one of the most talented teams in the league. At 8-0 the Bengals looked to join the Panthers and Patriots at 9-0 and make NFL history by having three teams win their first nine games. But J.J. Watt would have none of that as he got one of three Houston sacks on the evening. After Hoyer went out with a concussion Yates came in and found Hopkins for the game’s only touchdown from 22 yards away early in the fourth.
