Against Drew Brees and the high flying Saints offense, the Texans defense was in for another test. They passed this one with flying colors as they limited Brees to just 228 yards and broke a streak of 45 straight games with a touchdown for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. It also was the first time since 2005 the Saints had not scored a touchdown in a game. Brian Hoyer threw two touchdown passes and Alfred Blue ran for another one. This win got the Texans over .500 for the first time all year and it was their fourth straight win as the Texans defense made it known they were for real.
