2. Cecil Shorts hits Alfred Blue for a touchdown
It’s not often you see a wide receiver throw a touchdown pass to a running back. But that is what happened against the Jets as Brian Hoyer threw a backwards pass to Shorts and then he pulled up and threw to a wide open Blue. The stingy Jets defense had overcommitted to the left side of the formation and the Texans had the perfect play call to take advantage. Maybe the Texans starting quarterback is on the roster after all…okay maybe not. But he couldn’t be any worse than Hoyer was in the playoff game.
