Tight Ends: D –

Ryan Griffin is the only reason these guys didn’t get an F because outside of him, they were plain awful. The third year player appeared in just nine games this season but was able to record 20 receptions for 251 yards and two touchdowns.

The solid work by the 2013 sixth round pick was the only bright spot in a group where 2014 third round pick C.J. Fiedorowicz has provided nearly nothing, and Garrett Graham has managed even less.

At least for Fiedorowicz, he can be considered a decent blocker. While that doesn’t excuse his 17 catches for 197 yards and one score performance in 16 games, it does mean he has some use on the team still.

Graham on the other hand completely disappeared, even without Griffin there for such a long stretch. The former starter did catch a touchdown, but ended the year with four receptions for just 30 total yards.

The Texans could sure use an upgrade in the draft, free agency, or possibly both.
