#3.
With the 22nd pick in round 3 the Houston Texans take a quarterback with Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg. The junior quarterback was at one point tabbed a potential first round pick, but inconsistent play leads him to drop and he winds up with the coach who led him to his best season in college.

In 2013, Hackenberg was a freshman and he worked with Bill O’Brien, who was coaching the Nittany Lions. The first year quarterback showed a lot of potential while working with the current Texans’ coach as he threw for 2,955 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 picks.

His sophomore season was a disaster as he threw more interceptions, 15, than touchdowns, 12 and scouts soured on him. He rebounded some in 2015 tossing 16 touchdowns to six interceptions but some still question his desire and pro ability.

Reuniting the 6-foot-4 234 pound quarterback with the coach who recruited him would be the best way to get the most out of the once-promising young man.
. QB. Penn State Nittany Lions. CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG
