NFL Free Agency: 10 players the Houston Texans should target
4. Danny Trevathan, ILB Denver Broncos
Again, the inside linebacker position is in good hands, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. One such player who could bring that improvement is Denver Broncos linebacker, Danny Trevathan.
With him and fellow linebackers Brandon Marshall and Von Miller hitting the open market at the same time, Trevathan could be the odd man out.
With 282 tackles and five interceptions, Trevathan has proven to be a true playmaker. After missing most of 2014 due to injuries, the sixth-round pick from Kentucky came back this past year and managed to get 109 tackles and two interceptions.
With current starter inside Brian Cushing set to be 30 next season, it wouldn’t hurt to have someone in line in case his age becomes an issue or if rookie Benardrick McKinney doesn’t take that next step in 2016.
