Round 6, Pick 20: Jordan Swindle, OT, Kentucky

The Houston Texans need depth all along the offensive line and after taking Joe Dahl in the fifth round, they go for the 6’7″ 308 pound tackle, Jordan Swindle in the sixth.

Swindle played against elite pass rushers in the SEC for the Wildcats and has experience at both right tackle and left. He spent most of his college time on the thin side, but started to gain more weight and strength by his senior season.

Not only did he play against great talent in the SEC, but he also went up against talented defensive ends in practice for much of his career as he faced off against Za’Darius Smith, who was a fourth round pick for the Baltimore Ravens in 2015 and Bud Dupree, who wound up being a first round pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers that same year.

Swindle would have a shot at making the team eventually as a swing tackle due to his experience on both sides of the line.
