After Paul Pasqualoni resigned from the position, the Houston Texans bring in former player Anthony Weaver to be their new defensive line coach
The Houston Texans have a new defensive line coach for the second season in a row. After hiring Paul Pasqualoni just one season ago, they had to replace the 66-year old who resigned on Thursday.

The Texans turned to a familiar face to fill the role as they signed former defensive end Anthony Weaver, who spent the final three years of his NFL career playing for Houston.

Weaver has been in Cleveland for two years as a defensive line coach after working with recently fired Browns head coach Mike Pettine in New York in 2012, Buffalo in 2013 before joining him again for these past two seasons.
During his seven year career as a player, the former second round pick out of Notre Dame finished with 257 career tackles with 15.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and three interceptions. He played for the Baltimore Ravens before joining the Texans.
The former defensive end will have the luxury of working with arguably the best defensive linemen in the league in defensive end J.J. Watt.
