Cam Thomas, Pittsburgh Steelers, 29 years old
Cam Thomas is another player who could provide much needed depth at the nose tackle spot, and he has the perfect size to do so at 6’4″ and 335 pounds. He also has the experience as he has been a nose tackle both for the San Diego Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was selected in Round 5 of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Chargers and after four seasons there, he spent the previous two in Pittsburgh.
While he has never posted outstanding numbers, he does have 99 tackles with 6.5 sacks and one interception in his six-year career and would bring in 25 career starts and 85 games played.
While not necessarily a starter, that kind of depth doesn’t currently exist at the position for Houston, making someone like Thomas a possibility.
