Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts, 25 years old
As previously stated, the Colts most likely would want to keep the pass catching tight end, Coby Fleener, which could leave the more traditional style player in Dwayne Allen looking for a new home.
At 265 pounds, Allen is more of an in-line tight end, which seems to suit what Houston likes best in their guys. Unlike the guys the Texans currently have however, Allen can be a threat in the passing game as well.
His best season came in his rookie season of 2012, yes the same year as Fleener. He was picked one round later than his counterpart and ended the season with 45 receptions for 521 yards and three scores. Since then he has been less of a factor in the passing game, but still showed his red zone ability in 2014 by hauling in eight touchdowns, despite only recording 29 catches.
After a slow 2015, probably also due to the issues at quarterback for Indy, Allen could find himself looking for work in 2016, and he may be a steal for a franchise like Houston that can utilize him both as a run blocker as well as an option in the passing game.
