Texans Possbile Playoff Opponents

Possibility #3- New York Jets
The Jets also came to Houston earlier this year like the Chiefs did. The Texans took the first meeting 24-17 in large part to a long ball to Hopkins on which he burnt Darelle Revis. The Jets were in their midseason funk at that point in time. The Jets have been an up and down team all season. They started 4-1, then went 1-4 over their next five and have now won five straight. While they are thought of as a defensive team, they now have an offense to go with it. They are 11th in both rushing and passing yards and tied for 10th in points per game. They have the top run defense in the league but are 16th against the pass and seventh in points allowed. This is looking like “that team nobody wants to see”.
While you should not fear any team, I do feel like this unit is clicking in all phases right now and with a loss from earlier in the year on their minds, revenge comes into play. In order for this matchup to happen, the Jets need to win in Buffalo AND the Chiefs must lose. It could happen, but I doubt it.
