Houston Texans All-Time Team
By Josh McSwain
Defensive Ends: J.J. Watt, Mario Williams
In just 4.5 years Watt already leads the team in sacks all time at 70.5. He’s going for his third straight season of 20+ sacks and is widely regarded as the best defensive player if not player in the NFL. Williams, the former #1 overall pick, spent six seasons in Houston before moving on to Buffalo. He is second in franchise history with 53 sacks.
Defensive Tackles: Antonio Smith, Seth Payne
After playing in the Super Bowl with the Cardinals in 2008, Smith joined the Texans. He is a versatile lineman who played some end and some tackle. He racked up 27 sacks and 112 tackles in his five campaigns in Houston before leaving for the Raiders after 2013. Payne was an original Texan, who racked up 149 tackles in four seasons with Houston.
