Brandon Brooks, Guard

The Texans have made several moves along the offensive line due to injury and it wouldn’t be shocking to see more changes to the line moving forward. With starting right guard Brandon Brooks heading into free agency, it would make sense to move on from him and try something different.

The team could try Jeff Adams as a full-time starter, or use the draft to bring someone in. Adams played well early on at left guard before a knee injury sent him to the injured reserve.

Whether it’s Adams, a rookie or someone moving up from the bench, it seems likely Brooks will be replaced in 2016. Houston already committed big money to tackles Duane Brown and Derek Newton and will have to choose between Brooks and center Ben Jones.

Jones plays a more vital position and also has versatility that Brooks doesn’t.

Factor in the lack of any run blocking by the line as a whole, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a change at any spot up front.
