7. Andre Johnson gets first 100 reception season

Andre Johnson’s career in Houston had several big moments, but one that sticks out is the 2006 NFL season when Johnson hit the century mark in receptions for the first time.

He was targeted an amazing 163 times and brought in 103 of those catches for 1,147 yards and five scores.

Johnson had never caught more than 79 passes in a season before 2006, but put himself into the discussion for elite receivers based on his impressive season.

Houston finished last in the AFC South with a record of 6-10, but the emergence of Johnson let the team know that it was time to make a move at quarterback to take advantage of Andre’s skill set.

This set the stage for the team’s run which culminated in their impressive 12-4 season in 2012.
