This is the time for Mr. McNair to open his mind and his checkbook and acquire an “accomplished” general manager. No more  “experimental guys” who never did it themselves before.

It’s time to hire someone with a true background in football operations and demonstrated success. The minimum requirement should be previous GM experience and an appearance in a conference title game under his tenure.

After the general manager position is addressed, it’s time to look at the coaches. I do not think that Bill O’brien’s body of work is large enough to draw conclusions from. I would give him one more year to show some progress.

As for coordinators – Romeo Crennel and George Godsey…these guys simply need to pack their bags and leave. Their units respectively are underperforming because they are being outcoached on a weekly basis.

Change starts at the top. If the Texans are serious about trying to turn this ship around, then it’s time to get a new captain behind the wheel of the ship.
