Draftkings is spending $300 million on advertising this football season. It is first starting out with a blitz early into the season, but will also make another huge advertising push at the halfway point. They want to find the fantasy football fans who have been eliminated in their season long leagues. Pretty smart if you ask me.

You know what else is smart? My weekly Draftkings Plays of the Week column. And lucky you, this is the inaugural post. This will be posted every Friday morning just in time to get your lineups set for the Sunday slate. I will be sure to give the results of the previous week’s suggestions so you can keep me accountable. Be free to give me a hard time in the comment box below.

Quarterbacks:

Matt Ryan ($7400) – Matt Ryan’s home record is much better, but his fantasy numbers aren’t so bad on the road. Quarterbacks playing the Giants have finished as the QB7, QB2, QB6, QB16, Qb4, QB13, QB30, QB8, QB11, QB6, and QB6. This game will be high scoring and we all get to enjoy Julio Jones destroying a very weak Giants secondary.

Russell Wilson ($7300) – The Packers do not waste anytime when they have the ball, which opens up more room for the Seahawks offense. Last week the Packers gave up the most yards per drive. More importantly, the Seahawks let Russell Wilson pass the ball 41 times last week. If he gets that kind of passing volume along with his volume using his legs, Wilson will put up some super high totaled weeks. Chasing points in Green Bay is a perfect spot to do so.

Colin Kaepernick ($6600) – The Steelers defense looked awful against Tom Brady last week. I know Kaepernick isn’t Tom Brady but he will have similar success. Targeting quarterbacks who are underdogs is smart because they will be forced to pass more often. This game could be a rare shoot out for Kaep. Everything he does with his legs is just a bonus.
