The AFC South has been dominated since it’s inception in 2002 by the Indianapolis Colts. 2014 was no different as the team led by quarterback Andrew Luck won the division with a record of 11-5. This was the ninth time in 13 seasons that Indy was on top of the standings when the season was done.
The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans have each won the division two times and the Jacksonville Jaguars have yet to take the AFC South crown.
The common belief is that the Colts should win the division again in 2015 and the rest of the division is believed to be similar to 2014 when the Texans finished 9-7, the Jags went 3-13 and Tennessee bottomed out at 2-14.
Rarely though does a season unfold the way many expect it to as the Texans jumped from only two victories in 2013 to nine under first year head coach Bill O’Brien. While I don’t see a similar jump in the making for the Tennessee Titans, I still don’t believe things will be as predictable as many feel it should be.
With that being said I offer up my four bold prediction for the AFC South for the 2015 NFL season and beyond.
