Tight End(s)

Garrett Graham – 6’3″, 243 pounds, 28 years old, 6th NFL season

C.J. Fiedorowicz – 6’5″, 265 pounds, 23 years old, 2nd NFL season

Neither of these players impressed much at all in 2014, but both still have some value to Houston. The team may go with both as starters for most of the year, but they could also go with one and use Prosch at fullback.

Houston loves to run the ball, so blocking will be the key to finding the field. At 265 pounds Fiedorowicz could find an edge here, but Graham has more experience and provides at least some receiving out of the position.

Offensive line

Left tackle – Duane Brown – 6’4″, 303 pounds, 29 years old, 8th NFL season

Left guard – Xavier Su’a-Filo – 6’4″, 307 pounds, 24 years old, 2nd NFL season

Center – Ben Jones – 6’3″, 316 pounds, 26 years old, 4th NFL season

Right guard – Brandon Brooks – 6’5″, 343 pounds, 25 years old, 4th NFL season

Right tackle – Derek Newton – 6’5″, 311 pounds, 27 years old, 4th NFL season

The offensive line has one the biggest lack of depth beyond the starting five. This unit will only change if someone is brought in to compete, like former starting center Chris Myers. Although the team has discussed that, I believe Jones is best suited at center, his natural position he played in college.

Newton and Brown are good on the edges, but Brooks, Jones and especially Su’a-Filo need to perform better in the middle to give the quarterback more time to allow the deep threats on the team to get deep.
