Offensive MVP – Arian Foster

Arian Foster will make or break the Texans year. Without Arian Foster, the offense will be insanely stagnant and force Hoyer or Mallett to make throws they are not comfortable making. In order to open up the passing game, the Texans need Foster to keep the chains moving and put more people in the box.

The continuous knock on Foster is his injury history. He has missed tons of games and played entire seasons under 100%. Injurypredictor.com gives Arian an 87% chance at missing games this season. However, he has enjoyed the healthiest offseason of his NFL career. His hamstrings are not bothering him but it’s an injury that can reoccur at any point. If I had to bet on any season where he would escape injury free, this would be the season.

If Arian Foster does play most of the season, the offense will be stable enough to win a lot of games. He is a top 5 running back in the entire league because he plays three-downs, catches passes, and excels at the goal line. He is capable at winning the rushing title this year and catch 50 passes. The Texans need that type of production in order to make a run for the playoffs.
