September;

Kansas City, at Carolina, Tampa Bay

Prediction: A tough look at the new NFC South to start the year won’t be easy, but in one of Jameis Winston’s first games he’ll have to face one of the most ruthless defenses in the league. Good luck with that, Jameis! They’ll take two out of these three games.

Record for the month: 2-1

October;

at Atlanta, Indianapolis, at Jacksonville, at Miami

Prediction: I’m predicting the Texans will be able to take the latter two games of this month. Atlanta (although busted for fake crowd noise) is a tough environment and Indy will be tough. It’s also gonna be tough to face Andre Johnson in anything but a Texan uniform. Jacksonville and Miami will be easier opponents.

Record for the month: 2-2

Record overall: 4-3

November;

Tennessee, BYE WEEK, at Cincinnati, New York Jets, New Orleans

Prediction: This ends a stretch of easier games. I believe Tennessee and New York would have been easy games to win placed anywhere, but I was concerned about the Bengals. Luckily, this was placed right after a bye week, so there should be no problem there. I do, however, have trouble seeing the Texans making it past Drew Brees and the Saints, so I’m giving the Texans a 3-1 record for this month.

Record for the month: 3-1

Overall record: 7-4

December;

at Buffalo, New England, at Indianapolis, at Tennessee

Prediction: This is a very tough month. Coming off of what I believe will be a loss against New Orleans, I think that the Texans will have trouble against Buffalo and New England as well. Earlier in the year, I thought the Texans had a shot at taking one of the games against the Colts, but I’ve since changed my mind looking over the schedule again. Luckily, I still have faith that they can beat Tennessee.

Record for the month: 1-3

Overall record: 8-7

January;

Jacksonville

Prediction: Hooray, the Texans get to end the year with an easy-to-beat team (sorry Jacksonville)! They’ll take this final game easily, and hopefully find themselves contending for an AFC Wild Card spot.

Record for the month: 1-0

Overall Record 9-7
