Red Zone:

  • Of the 20 touchdowns given up inside the 10-yard line, only six were rushes. The  Texans were a very strong run stopping defense and should only get better up the middle on the goal line with the addition of Vince Wilfork and a hopefully healthy Jadeveon Clowney.
  • Only four opposing touchdowns went to tight ends, but all were inside the 10-yard line.
  • The Texans were 5-2 in games where they gave up more than one touchdown in the Red Zone and 4-5 in games with one or no touchdowns in the Red Zone. There really isn’t any explanation on why this would be the case and there is no reason to believe this will continue into this year.
