Jon Weeks, Long Snapper 5’10” 246 Pounds 29 Years Old

The team has had the same long snapper since 2010, with undrafted free agent out of Baylor, Jon Weeks. He does his job well despite his career stat line consisting of only 13 tackles and nothing else.

The rule with a snapper is that when you don’t hear their name ever, that is a good thing. Expect Weeks to continue to roll with this job, which is one of the least thankful positions is all of sports.

Who Will Return Kicks

Damaris Johnson and Keshawn Martin are the only guys besides the recently departed Manning to handle any return duties. Martin averaged 6.2 yards per punt return and only had one kick return which went for 19 yards.

Johnson didn’t fare much better by averaging 22.7 yards per kick return with only six run backs and only six yards average on nine punt returns.

The hope will have to be that either newly signed Chris Polk will take over at kick returner after he posted over 30 yards per run back in 20145 with Philadelphia and even had a 102 yard touchdown. As for punt returns, the team will need to see Johnson or Martin step up their games, or hold out hope that someone on the roster can step up and take the duties from them.
