Jaelen Strong – WR

Who is he? – Strong isn’t a burner, but he has fantastic hands and above average size. While his route running skills are very raw, he looks to be a good redone target for whichever quarterback ends up starting.

How does he fit? – The coaching staff is hopeful that Strong will become the Texans’ No.2 receiver and start next to DeAndre Hopkins for years to come. He should be a valuable red zone threat and will help take pressure off of the No. 1, Hopkins. The pair of Hopkins-Strong should prove to make two excellent sideline possession receivers while a more speedy option could play the slot.

What will he do this season? – It doesn’t look like Strong will be starting on the outside this season. That position should belong to Cecil Shorts, but things could change in training camp. Look for Strong to battle Nate Washington and Damaris Johnson for time as the number three guy on the depth chart.
