Round 2, 19th Pick: Jalen Collins, CB

Yes the Texans resigned cornerback Kareem Jackson and yes they do have another great proven corner in Jonathan Joseph, however, Joseph becomes a free agent next year and it would be great to have a young buck play the role of the understudy to him before we are caught without a capable replacement.

He fits the bill of bringing the crucial three to the table, height, weight and speed. Still a work in progress, Collins could learn a lot playing behind Joseph and earn some meaningful playing time on the team this year as well. All signs point to him being a great fit on the depth chart as well as being an exciting prospect to watch develop in his rookie year.

The fact that he’s a projected first round pick certainly indicates Houston would be getting a steal if he’s still on the board in the second round. Get your lucky charms out and do whatever you deem necessary to ensure the football gods choose to keep him available for our picking after the first round.
