Vince Wilfork

Vince Wilfork is a proven veteran. Playing with the New England Patriots for most of his career, he has shown he’s able to be a huge part of winning teams.

Wilfork had a chance to sign back with the defending Super Bowl champions, but instead picked the Texans, which says a lot. It’s clear to many that the Texans are on the verge of being a threat deep in the playoffs. With the addition of Wilfork, it helps even more.

Last season for the Patriots, Wilfork was able to get 47 combined tackles put up, as well as one blocked kick. He’s spent all his years with the Patriots, and has had his fair share of winning there. It’s clear that he believes in the Texans just as much as they believe in him.

As far as stepping on Watt’s toes as both of them have been team leading defensive players, Wilfork has addressed this, saying:

"“I don’t want to change his game one bit. I’m not coming in here to say, ‘You need to do this differently.’ No. You continue to do what you do. We’re going to learn off of you. We’re going to play off of you. My goal is to let J.J. be J.J. I’m pretty sure the coaching staff is going to feel the same way.”"

As a veteran, Wilfork knows the ropes, and can be a role model to younger guys.
