Jarvis Jenkins, Defensive End, 26 Years Old
Jarvis Jenkins was a second round pick for the Washington Redskins in 2011, but has failed to reach the potential they saw in him. He still did start 14 games last season, but only notched 28 tackles for the year, which happened to be his career high.
Still, a 6’4″ 315 pound defensive end with 33 career starts in a 3-4 base defense could be a very solid piece for defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel. In Houston Jenkins would come off the bench and provide some experienced depth.
Sometimes a fresh start is all a player needs to regain the form that made them look promising at one point in their career. For Jenkins, this fresh start coupled with lower expectations as a rotational player could be as good for him as it would be for the Texans.
