The first week of NFL free agency has been fast paced, but is quickly coming to an end. Most of the big name players have already left the open market, but there are still plenty of valuable players out there for interested teams.

More from Houston Texans Free Agency

The Houston Texans have not made a huge splash in the way of signings. Most of their news came by releasing their long-time star receiver, Andre Johnson and trading the 2014 opening day starter at quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick.

While the team was rather low key with their signings, they have filled a couple of needs this week. Bringing back quarterback Ryan Mallett and signing former Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Brian Hoyer solidified a battle of former Tom Brady back-ups for the starting gig in Houston.

On Thursday the team made another solid move by bringing in former Denver Broncos safety Rahim Moore. The 2011 second round pick was given a very team friendly deal of three years and $12 million. The deal was met with positive reviews by many in the media world, especially given the scarcity of good safeties available in free agency.

The team has also been rumored to be interested in defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. The big guy who spent his whole career in New England could be a huge plus for the Texans, if the price is right.

Besides Wilfork, there are still other players available at positions of need who could help the Texans in 2015 and beyond. Let’s take a look at a few of the free agents out there.
