After a 9-7 regular season that showed glimpses of greatness, the Houston Texans front office now takes on the difficult task of preparing this talented team for the 2015 season. And that process starts by addressing the free agents under their own roof.
Below you’ll find a list of all the Houston players that have now turned free agents and will be either re-signed by the Texans or allowed to test the free agent market come March. Restricted and Exclusive-Rights free agents appear at the bottom of the list.

Obviously, the biggest name on this list for Texans’ fans is Mallett. The former New England Patriots’ back-up quarterback came to the Lone Star State via a trade back in August.
Mallett was named the Texans’ starter in November but a pectoral injury shorten his season a mere 18-days later. At this point, it’s unclear if Houston will re-sign the fourth-year quarterback or pursue another player who better fit’s head coach Bill O’Brien‘s offensive scheme.
In three games with the Texans in 2014, Mallett completed 41 of his 75 passes for a total of 400 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
