Another Sunday, another game with Alfred Blue as the starter. Not having Arian Foster isn’t the big fear it was before the Browns game the Texans would much rather have Foster in anyway. His groin injury isn’t being rushed by the Texans, and that’s good. Should they actually succeed in making the playoffs having a fully ready Foster and a well tested Alfred Blue is the best option. As the 2011 and 2012 Texans showed, Foster might be a work horse but having a good back ready to give him a spell keeps Foster running well and the offense from slowing.
Other in-actives for the Texans are; Tom Savage, No shock there. DeVier Posey, who just hasn’t been able to get in a game this year, not a good sign for his future as a Texans. Kareem Jackson, who is still recovering from a knee injury, Josh Aubrey, Who? Max Bullough, a young promising linebacker who is being groomed for next season and Jeff Adams.

Overall the Texans are in fairly good shape going into this match up. Sitting at 5-5, one game back behind Indianapolis they are in a must win mode but have most of the pieces on the field ready to go. Blue proved last week he has what it takes against a tough Browns run defense with his 36 carry 157 yard performance. The Bengals are far less successful against the run, and I’m glad I’ve had Blue in my line for my fantasy team! While Kareem Jackson is missed the secondary has been fairly good and will need to step up today.
