The Houston Texans are the early underdogs against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday when the two teams from Texas meet up at AT&T Stadium at noon CT on CBS.

Houston is the underdog by +4 1/2 to the Cowboys as they both are 3-1 overall after four games this season. This is the first time the two teams have face each other in the regular season since 2010. The Cowboys own the series lead at 2-1.

Against the spread this season on bovada.lv, the Texans are also 3-1, only losing the spread in the loss against the New York Giants. In that game the Texans were a 1 1/2 favorite.

Last week, against the Buffalo Bills, the Texans were a 2 1/2 point favorite.

Dating back to last season, the Texans are 7-14 against the spread.

As for the Cowboys, they are 2-4 against the spread in their last six home games. This season, the Cowboys are 3-1 against the spread.

This matchup should be very interesting, and it is very tough to pick a winner, because the teams are somewhat similar. Both teams rely on their rushing game for success in ’14, and the success of their QB play really relies on how well their running game is doing.
