The Houston Texans got a little creative in the first quarter against the Oakland Raiders at O.co Coliseum when Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a touchdown pass to … J.J. Watt.
The Texans defensive end lined up on the offensive side of the ball when Watt caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Fitzpatrick wide open in the first quarter with 9:38 left in the quarter.

This play looked like a play the Patriots used to use with Mike Vrabel in the early to-mid 2000s when they were winning Super Bowl championships. remember Texans head coach used to be an offensive coach for the Patriots when going through the ranks.

This type of play calling id fun to watch, plus it gave the Texans some offensive results they needed.
The TD by Watt put the Texans ahead by six points. At halftime the Texans led 17-0 over the host Raiders. The Texans have lost their two previous meetings with the Raiders, but lead the all-time series, 5-3 before today’s game in Oakland.
This was the first reception by Watt this season.
